Q & A

When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

I've always loved to write but didn't get serious about publishing until I, like the world, became stuck at home when COVID hit. I suddenly had time on my hands and was writing more seriously and decided it was time to go for it!

Why Steamy Romantic Suspense?

I love a good love story, but I also like action, thrills and a good plot. I've always had a love for all things military. Having read many other romantic suspense authors, I knew I wanted my first series to be in this genre.

What's it really like, being a writer?

It's not glamorous! I love writing but as a self publsihed author, the marketing, design and publishing process is all on me. Very few self published authors make enough to write full time so it can be a challenge. But writing is my passion and I will still write even if I only sell a few books a month. It is the most amazing feeling to hold a book you wrote in your hands.

What do you love most about being an author?

Reviews. I am blessed to have received many wonderful reviews on all my books. There is no better feeling than hearing someone loved your book. It is what every author wants to hear.  Reading reviews often bring me to tears. Happy tears!

What do you do when you're not writing?

Lots of things! Read - obviously! Getting outside in nature, walking with my dog, Alex.  Listening to podcasts. I'm a big Mel Robbins fan!  Day trips and travel when I can. Spending time with friends and family. And of course binge watching TV on occasion!

You're a baseball fan?

Yes! Big Blue Jays Fan! I often have the game on in the background while I am writing. I would love to be able to go on a road trip and follow the team one summer...... maybe one day!
